Programs

 

The ROCK-is a basketball program for middle school and high school guys that meet on Saturday nights from 6:00-8:00 (17 and under) and 8:00-11:00 (18 and older). Activities include: open gym basketball, Bible discussions, and basketball leagues and tournaments.  Also the Rock partners with other organizations to run basketball clinics, football leagues and tournaments.

Wednesday Night Youth-is a discipleship program in partnership with Berean Baptist Church, and New City Church.  It meets every Wednesday Night from 7:00-8:15.  Activities include: small-group Bible study/prayer, service-learning, mission trips, and sports and games.

Man-Up– is a residential program of UTM  that assists at-risk urban men ages 18-29 become self-sufficient by developing life-skills, financial budgeting, personal goal setting and employment assistance within a residential environment.  The Man-Up program also provides spiritual and emotional support through small-group Bible studies, individual and group counseling, and mentoring relationships while challenging them to become loving and responsible Dads and positive Christian leaders in their community.

The NET– is the mentoring program of UTM.  At-risk students from UTM programs are matched with a caring adult from the community at-large.   Students in the NET program are eligible to go  to KAA (Kids Across America) sports camp and weekend camping trips during the summer.

Urban Transformation Institute–  equips the church at-large understand and effectively serve the urban poor through training workshops, seminars, college-level classes, internships, and consulting, along with weekend and week-long urban immersion trips to inner-city Grand Rapids.
